Megan Mulligan will join Guardian America October 22 as a senior editor. Until now an editor at The Hill, a Washington-based political newspaper covering Congress, Mulligan spent five years on staff at Forbes magazine, interrupted by stints in Paris and Berlin, the latter as an International Center for Journalists Arthur F. Burns fellow. She was an editor at the New York Sun newspaper for three years before becoming moving to Washington from Manhattan to take a position as an opinion editor at washingtonpost.com. Shegraduated from Columbia University with a degree in economics and philosophy.

Elana Schor joins Guardian America October 22 as a staff reporter. Her beat will be Congress, a beat she has covered now for more than two years at The Hill, most recently as the senior Senate reporter. She has appeared on MSNBC, "Democracy Now," C-SPAN's "Washington Journal" and Fox's "On the Record." A native of New York City, Schor previously reported from the Capitol for Dow Jones MarketWatch and the Biloxi Sun-Herald. She received her masters' in journalism from Northwestern University and her undergraduate degree from Columbia University.

Daniel Nasaw joins Guardian America October 29 as a staff reporter, covering the presidential race. He has worked for the last three years at the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, where he has covered the statehouse and the presidential campaign. Before that he was a news assistant at The Wall Street Journal, writing stories on technology, real estate and the stock market. A Manhattan native, he earned a bachelor's degree in philosophy with honors from the University of Chicago. He is currently mourning the premature end of the New York Yankees' 2007 season.
