Maybe it's a sign of the times (read: corrupt officials) or maybe it's a sign of a renewed interest in politics post Barack Obama's election, or maybe the NYT.com is just trying to get a head start on the Internet Presidency. Whatever the reason, we just discovered (via Brian Stelter's Twitter) that the NYT.com has just launched Represent (in Beta) a new online tool which allows readers to find their all their elected representatives in New York City by entering their zip code.

That's not all! The search will also let you know what those elected representatives have been up to recently. For example, apparently both our congresswoman Carolyn Maloney and our Senator Hillary Clinton were name-checked in Judith Warner's recent op-ed piece Getting Beyond Camelot. One can only imagine the search results for someone in Charles Rangel's district.
