Last week, Larry Platt was ousted from his position as editor of Philadelphia magazine following a string of less than professional actions.
Herbert Lipson and David Lipson, chairman and president of Philadelphia owner Metrocorp, respectively, are rumored to have fired Platt after a string of poor behavior, such as Platt’s decision to gift a female staffer with a framed photo of a cyst he had removed from one of his testicles.
In an email to his colleagues, Platt wrote: “After a difficult meeting yesterday afternoon with the Lipsons, it became clear to me that my time at Philly mag has run its course.”
Sigh. It sucks to get sacked.
