Police Search Gawker’s Fox News Mole Apartment

The sad saga of Joe Muto, Gawker’s Fox News Mole, continues. This morning, Muto tweeted that he was served with a search warrant and was being accused of grand larceny by Fox News.

As much as FishbowlNY has enjoyed giving Gawker and Muto shit for failing to produce anything worthwhile (other than page views for Gawker!) during their partnership, hopefully nothing happens to Muto.

We’re not lawyers, so we don’t know how much of a case Fox has against Muto, but he seems unconcerned. After the updates above, Muto tweeted, “I should have done something more innocuous, like hacked a dead girl’s phone and interfered with a police investigation.” Uh, maybe — and we could be wrong here — the time to shut-up is after police raid your apartment.
