When The New York Times printed a variation of the “f-word” in the latest T: The New York Times Style Magazine, it caused quite the uproar. A lot of outlets claimed that this was a rarity, even though — as Jim Romenesko points out — that’s not f*cking true.
In fact, a quick search on the Times’ site for “f*ck” will spit back a slew of articles that feature the f-word. The word appears in articles as far back as the 1800s.
Turns out the Times swears like a sailor. So please, everyone chill the f*ck out.
