The Wall Street Journal to Sell Single Issues on iPad

Paid Content is reporting that starting tomorrow, iPad users can purchase single issues of The Wall Street Journal for $1.99. This is a change to the current system which only allowed people to view the free content on the app, for the whole thing, users had to subscribe.

Alisa Bowen, who works in Dow Jones digital, said that they’ve decided to open up access because people are more likely to subscribe when they can view more content.

This is another instance of publishers gradually bending to the will of Steve Jobs. It’s only a matter of time before he rules us all.
