Amy Nicholson has been named the new film critic for Voice Media Group. Nicholson will cover film for the company’s 11 papers and corresponding websites. She’ll be based in Los Angeles at LA Weekly, and work closely with Stephanie Zacharek, who is based in New York.
“Of all the reviews we read while evaluating job candidates, Amy’s were the ones that sang,” said VMG’s film editor, Alan Scherstuhl, in a statement. “It was difficult to predict whether Amy would like a film — but it was impossible not to be captivated by her feisty, smart take. She was absolutely our first choice for this position.”
Nicholson begins immediately.
