Bicycle Tour Cookbook on Kickstarter

Tara Alan hopes to raise $11,500 on Kickstarter for their cookbook, Bike. Camp. Cook.

She co-founded “Going Slowly” site while taking a multi-year bicycle tour across Europe and Asia. She developed the 50 recipes during her trip, and the funds will be used to print the cookbook. We’ve embedded a video about the project above. Here’s more about the project:

If you’re not a wizard in the kitchen, don’t worry—I’ve poured loads of cooking know-how into these pages. After years as a head chef for a two-person cycling team, I’ve made a lot of mistakes you can learn from! The first half of the book is filled with everything you’ll need to know to start making delicious meals on a one burner stove.

Welcome to our Kickstarter Publishing Project of the Week, a feature exploring how authors and publishers are using the fundraising site to raise money for book projects. If you want to start your own project, check out How To Use Kickstarter to Fund Your Publishing Project.
