Nominees are now being accepted for the 2008 Cybils, the annual prizes for children's and young people's literature as determined by the editors of several blogs focused on those types of books. Readers will be able to nominate their favorite book in the following nine categories: Easy Readers, Fantasy & Science Fiction, Fiction Picture Books, Graphic Novels, Middle Grade Novels, Non-Fiction Middle Grade/Young Adult Books, Non-Fiction Picture Books, Poetry, and Young Adult Novels. After that, the panelists and judges will sift through the nominees, select shortlists on New Year's Day, and announce the winners in mid-February 2009.
