The Bookseller reports that Pan Macmillan has acquired the first book from Cristiano Ronaldo, the Manchester United and Portugal winger who was named PFA Players' Player of the Year 2007. Richard Milner secured the rights to MOMENTS: THE WAY I FEEL via a profit share deal with Portuguese publisher Ideias & Rumos, represented by UK agent David Luxton. Pan will represent the book - which will be published in October - internationally, handling rights, distribution and serial sales. "It's very accessible and personal but not sensationalist—it is an integrated insight into a football star's world both on and off the pitch," said Milner, adding that the book comprises stories, recollections and 150 photographs. Of the widely acclaimed star of Man U - the former home of a certain Mister Beckham - Milner gushed, "He's the biggest young star at the biggest club in the biggest sport in the world."
