Best Pandora Stations for Writing: NaNoWriMo Tip #8

logo_pandora.jpgPandora is perfect for writers wrapped up in a National Novel Writing Month marathon. The free service generates a customized radio station for every band in a musical database, playing similar-sounding music in an uninterrupted stream. Pick the three bands that you listen to the most while writing and set up a few Pandora stations.

This GalleyCat editor prefers listening to instrumental music by Explosions in the Sky or lyrical music by Wilco and Cloud Cult to maximize his writing focus. As you write, be sure to use the “I like” and “I don’t like” buttons, it will help you customize the choices as well. What are your favorite Pandora stations for writing? Add your suggestions in the comments section.

This is our eighth NaNoWriMo Tip of the Day. As writers around the country join the writing marathon this month, we will share one piece of advice or writing tool to help you cope with this daunting project.
