NaNoWriMo Tip#9: Use the Brainstormer App

Finishing National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) requires a massive supply of new ideas, themes, and plot twists. When your brain freezes, try Brainstormer to generate new angles for your story.

Artist Andrew Bosley designed this innovative tool that will randomly churn out dramatic twists for any story by combining three randomly generated phrases like: “Prey to Misfortune-dying-general” or “supplication-enlightenment-factory.” Spinning through these elements could save your story. Try the iPhone app for a portable brainstorm generator.

This is our ninth NaNoWriMo Tip of the Day. As writers around the country join the writing marathon this month, we will share one piece of advice or writing tool to help you cope with this daunting project.
