Oprah Winfrey May Host a “Book-Club Show” on Her New Network

oprah.jpgThis week Oprah Winfrey unveiled Oprah’s Next Chapter, an hour-long nighttime show she will host on her brand new Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) on cable.

In a long interview with the Wall Street Journal about the new project, she also hinted at a “book-club show” as well. The article included this tidbit: “Ms. Winfrey said she also may appear in other OWN shows including a possible book-club show. ‘My name’s going to show up on that grid a lot,’ she said.”

The impending end of Winfrey’s show has both worried and inspired publishers–her show can sell lots and lots of books. Do you think her new network can replicate that success?
