Orson Scott Card Writes Firefall Manga with His Daughter

Science-fiction novelist Orson Scott Card teamed up with his daughter Emily Janice Card to write a manga called Firefall Affinity. This new graphic novel is set in the universe of Firefall, a multiplayer video game online.

The video embedded above includes interviews with both writers (and Red 5 Studios CEO Mark Kern). Readers can follow the story for free online, as Red 5 Studios will release two pages of the manga every week.

Here’s more about the project: “Follow the adventures of Pilgrim, a teenage girl, as she comes to terms with her own power, tries to repair the rift between her parents, and survive the Melding that is engulfing the planet after the crash of the Arclight. Written by Orson Scott Card and Emily Janice Card with artwork provided by Udon Comics, the official Firefall manga starts June 5th.”
