Here's a fun way to ensure literary immortality: Get a drink named after your book! Recently, our friends Anastasia Ashman and Jennifer Eaton Gokmen, co-editors of the anthology Tales from the Expat Harem, dropped us a line to tell us about their latest promotion for the anthology of European and American women writing about life in Turkey. Ashman and Gokme, as well as other contributors, were on hand to give the martini its official launch at a party late last month. In case you can't read the chalkboard, the ingredients for the "Expat Harem" are vodka, cucumber, ginger beer, and green apple juice. Sounds yummy—too bad we're not likely to hit Istanbul any time soon, but maybe we can pass the ingredients on to an enterprising bartender here in New York...
