It's always convenient, when planning a book party, if one of the co-authors actually owns a bar. Last night, Handsome Dick Manitoba, lead singer for the punk band the Dictators, opened up his Alphabet City bar, Manitoba's, to throw a party for The Official Punk Rock Book of Lists, which he co-wrote with Amy Wallace (yep, the one from the original Books of Lists back in the '70s). Here he is signing a copy for an unknown fan while Cliff Mott, whose caricatures of punk icons are scattered throughout the book, enjoys a free White Castle burger. The folks at Hal Leonard Publishing sent a link to more pictures from the party.
