ReganBooks Gone, Many LA Staffers Head EastJulie Bosman has the quick story for NYT: HarperCollins is deleting the ReganBooks imprint, but bringing Cal Morgan and other staffers back into the 53rd Street headquarters from the Los Angeles outpost Judith Regan had established just a year ago; PublishersMarketplace names additional bringbacks: executive managing editor/senior editor Cassie Jones; marketing director Gregg Sullivan; and senior art director Richard Ljoenes. (Hope Harper is picking up the moving expenses for them!) One holdout: publicity director Suzanne Wickham will remain in LA, where she's been based for years. Hillel Italie has more for the AP, including an opening line ("Bye-bye, ReganBooks") that Sarah wanted for herself, and of course all this comes a little less than a week after New York Magazine openly wondered about the fate of the As for the Regan books, after March 1 they'll be published under the logo "HC."
