Senator Edward M. Kennedy Has Died

9780446539258_94X145.jpgSenator Edward M. Kennedy passed away yesterday evening, at 77-years-old.

Here’s a tribute to Kennedy from President Barack Obama released today: “For five decades, virtually every major piece of legislation to advance the civil rights, health and economic well being of the American people bore his name and resulted from his efforts.”

Twelve will publish Kennedy’s upcoming memoir, “True Compass in mid-September. The book will be co-written by Ron Powers who wrote “Flags of Our Fathers.” The Senator’s other books included the children’s book “My Senator And Me: A Dog’s Eye View Of Washington, D.C.,” and the policy book, “America Back on Track.”
