‘The Fault in Our Stars’ Clip Unveiled by MTV

A new clip from The Fault in Our Stars was unveiled during the 2014 MTV Movie Awards.

Young adult novelist John Green attended the event along with his wife and the stars from the film adaptation. The video embedded above features an intense conversation scene between Hazel Grace Lancaster and Augustus Waters.

Many people would say that young adult fiction made a big splash throughout the event. MTV reports that “whatever your particular tastes — a love story between cancer-stricken teens or one of the ever-popular dystopian dramas — YA was an undeniable winner Sunday. Tris from Divergent won Favorite Character, an exclusive new clip from The Fault in Our Stars made us feel all the feelings, and Catching Fire went home with a win for Movie of the Year.”

In addition, the Catching Fire movie snatched up awards in two other categories; Jennifer Lawrence won “Best Female Performance” as Katniss Everdeen and Josh Hutcherson came out on top for “Best Male Performance” as Peeta Mellark. Throughout 2014, many more young adult-based film adaptations are due for release including The Giver, The Maze Runner, and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1. What do you think?
