Books that are fun to read but get left behindSay you're on vacation, and you bring along some books to read. Chances are they're on the fluffy side (unless you're an author answering those "summer reading" Q&As in newspapers and you have to prove your bogus intellectual worth and lie, lie, lie) and further chances are that once you're finished reading, you don't want to take them home. So what are those books? A new survey found that the books most often abandoned by readers are - ta da! - celebrity biographies. Sky News reports that the five books most often left behind in hotel rooms are all works written by the rich and famous, the survey by Travelodge found. The book most often discarded was Paris Hilton's CONFESSIONS OF AN HEIRESS, with Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho in second place with his MADE IN PORTUGAL. In third place was glamour model Jordan - or Katie Price - with her A WHOLE NEW WORLD. Travelodge operations director Kyle Rowe said: "We have been very surprised by the findings. It's the first time ever the top five books have all been celebrity autobiographies. It just shows we have become a nation fixated with celebrities and their lifestyles."
