Use a Movie Quote Database: Script Frenzy Tip #11

Does your dialogue feel recycled? Double-check with the Subzin movie quote archive online. For instance, you could find out that the phrase “she’s a peach” has already been used in at least three movies or tv shows.

Here’s more about the site: “Two years ago Luis Sobrecueva was trying to find some quotes that  were said in several movies to make a video presentation using film fragments. He didn’t know how to find something non-popular movie phrases that didn’t appear on Google,  and so he developed a tool to solve it, extracting and indexing quotes from movie subtitles.”

To help all the aspiring screenwriters, comic book writers, and playwrights participating in the Script Frenzy writing marathon, we will feature a new script writing tool or tip every day this month. Read all the advice at this link.
