Warner Brothers has acquired the film rights to Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire. According to Deadline New York, Green Lantern film producer Donald De Line has signed on to the project.

Self-published novelist Jamie McGuire sold her indie romance to Simon & Schuster’s Atria imprint last month. The self-published edition topped the Self-Published Bestsellers List and sold more than 200,000 copies.

She doesn’t drink or swear, and she has the appropriate percentage of cardigans in her wardrobe. Prior to landing a book deal with the Simon & Schuster imprint, McGuire self-published a young adult series called the Providence trilogy.
