Blogging the Blogged Newspaper Blog Survey
"I think in hyperlinks," wrote one respondent, touching on the crux of the matter for writers of all stripes. In the end, blogging is just a revolutionary method of content delivery, and surveys like this help writers compare best practices. It's time for a similar survey of the publishing industry too. We'd hazard a guess that at least 60 percent of all authors are doing some sort of blogging, and we should be comparing notes. Here's an excerpt: "Perhaps the most significant change was in the way that blogs provided a platform for stories or detail that would otherwise not make the print or broadcast version at all."
