Digital Content Manager
Reports to the Digital Director for Marine and Aviation
Bonnier’s Marine and Aviation Group is seeking a full-time digital content manager to work out of our Winter Park, Florida office. This is a shared position covering our four fishing brands including Salt Water Sportsman, Marlin, Sport Fishing and Fly Fishing in Salt Waters. The position will require working closely with each brand team on the planning, execution, tracking, and performance reporting of all digital content in order to meet established web traffic and email growth goals.
Responsibilities:
• Planning
Using analytic data, work with edit teams on web and email content plans
• Maintain and update websites
Create original content for websites (news, photo galleries)
Aggregate and publish content from related sources (video / photo galleries)
Document and report site functionality issues
• E-newsletters
Create, test and schedule weekly editorial newsletters
Track engagement metrics
• Web stats
Monitor Omniture stats daily to ensure traffic goals are being met
Use analytic data to identify trends and opportunities for optimized content
Look for any unusual changes or fluctuations in analytics reports
• Training
Provide training to the edit teams on article / video / photo posting and SEO
• Marketing / Sales
Provide support for execution of online ad programs
Participate in planning meetings for future client programs
• Occasional travel possible for boat shows, tournaments and other industry events
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications or related field
• 2+ years of digital content experience at a media company or interactive agency
• Experience with content management systems, specifically Drupal
• Experience with Omniture or other analytics software for monitoring web traffic
• Mid-level HTML and basic CSS and Javascript knowledge
• Experience with Ooyala or other video distribution platforms
• Thorough understanding of SEO best practices
• Ability to manage multiple projects on a variety of timelines
