JOB SCOPE: The Digital Media Producer is responsible for producing and creating sports content for CSNwashington.com, CSNbaltimore.com and our other digital media assets. Digital Media Producers interface with our digital media journalists, on-air talent, television newsroom staffers, photographers, TV producers, editors, master control and engineering.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Produce, write, edit and post stories (textual, video, photos, and audio) to our digital properties utilizing a content management system and other digital tools.
* Proactively ensure that content is timely, compelling and relevant.
* Actively participate in social media via Facebook, Twitter, sms and other outlets.
* Arrange and when necessary, produce and/or host online chats.
* Shoot video with our HD cameras as needed.
* Occasionally appear on camera if needed.
* Propose original, timely and innovative stories.
* Operate telecaster streaming studio for live streaming and recording of web shows.
* Continually follow our local teams so we you may better contribute to coverage.
* Interface with counterparts in our TV newsroom.
* Produce art/creative as requested by CSN sales and marketing.
* Effectively problem solve technical issues.
* Other duties as assigned.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
* Three (3) years of experience working in an active news environment as a producer, editor, journalist, reporter, or talent. Must have experience using a website content management system.
* Must have excellent writing skills; textual editing ability; Final Cut video editing experience;
* Excellent Photoshop skills; ability to shoot with a variety of cameras; and superior communications skill.
* Must have excellent knowledge of Washington-Baltimore area Sports.
* Must have the ability to produce multiple projects from inception to completion independently.
* Because hours may vary seasonally, must be available to work non-traditional work hours as needed.
* Ability to take direction and constructive criticism.
* Must have technical acumen to learn how to use new equipment as needed.
* Must be able to watch our network and view our website on a regular basis. Eligibility Requirements:
