Job Requirements We're making learning accessible, hands-on, and fun, and we're hiring a Teacher Recruitment Specialist to build our growing course catalogue. This is a crucial role for Skillshare’s growth, scouring the universe to sign on the absolute best teachers. This role involves research to identify who the highest quality teachers are in each category. The Teacher Recruitment Specialist will manage the entire sales cycle from start to finish. This role is full-time, based in NYC and reports to the Teacher Recruitment Team Lead.

An ideal candidate takes a consultative sales approach and is a self-starter. This candidate is also incredibly resourceful, moving mountains to hit individual and team goals. (S)he has a passion for excellence and is dead-set on closing deals that will produce the highest quality educational content. (S)he is personable and contagiously passionate about Skillshare and our mission.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Identify Top 10% Teachers. Research a skill to identify the very best teacher candidates for each class you're sourcing.

  2. Generate Leads. Quickly and intelligently generate high volumes of high quality leads to contact and pitch.

  3. Close! Guide your leads from first-contact to closed teacher, speedily and seamlessly.

  4. Optimize Your Process. Collaborate within a larger teacher recruitment team to share your insights and improve your process and efficiency every week.


Skills & Experience

  1. 2-5 years of sales or operations experience, specifically client-facing

  2. Proven track record of successful consultative and idea-based sales

  3. Clear and succinct communication skills

  4. Comfortable working independently and as part of a team

  5. Strong attention to detail and service oriented mentality

  6. Experience working in a fast-paced, ever-adapting, environment, ideally a startup
