MEDIA COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR (A1300309)

The Media Communications Coordinator is a full-time academic professional staff member in the Office of the Dean of Students. The Media Communications Coordinator will plan and fulfill the Office of the Dean of Students overall communication and promotion efforts by developing strategies to increase and continually improve exposure to students, parents, faculty, and staff. The Media Communications Coordinator will create, design, and produce camera-ready art for the Office of the Dean of Students units' publications, electronic media, and related marketing functions. Develop and maintain an online presence for Office of the Dean of Students units. Provide leadership and management of the Office of the Dean of Students media and systems services including but not limited to digital media, communications, and social media. Projects will include print and web design for the Office of the Dean of Students and related units.
Job Responsibilities
- * Develop and design a variety of print and online media including but not limited to brochures, direct mail, posters, displays, newspaper advertising, podcasts, vodcasts, content management, social media sites, and websites in support of the Dean of Students Units
- * Perform graphic design and project coordination throughout all stages in producing publications, electronic media and designs for various advertising applications
- * Develop creative marketing and promotional materials for a broad range of campus audiences using various media technologies
- * Maintain and manage programmatic digital communications initiatives, including but not limited to websites, social media accounts, and digital signage
- * Prepare digital art and necessary production for outside print vendors
- * Organize and maintain photo database, completed digital files and hard copy files
- * Other duties as assigned
Qualifications: - * Bachelor's degree required (preferably in marketing, communications, or related field)
- * Skills in both print and web production, including expertise in the operation and support of a full range of graphic design and web creation software packages such as InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, and Photoshop
- * Three years' experience designing communications systems/software is required.
- * Three years' experience in web design or development is required
- * Experience using web publishing tools and social media.
- * Knowledge of current content management systems, web analytics software, graphic design software packages, HTML, DHTML, XML, ASP, CSS coding. Other tools will be considered.
- * Experience in a higher education setting is preferred.
Appointment Type: Regular twelve month, 100% academic professional appointment.
Salary: Commensurate with experience.
Start Date: As soon as possible after closing.
