We are currently seeking an Email Marketing Manager to help execute performance-driven email campaigns for a wide variety clients. The Email Marketing Manager will be in a position to own and inform email marketing operations including planning, deployment, testing, analysis and reporting.
The successful candidate will be someone who possesses a strong background in email and direct marketing from both a strategic and tactical level. The individual will bring a proven track record managing email program(s) of significant complexity across multiple market verticals.
Responsibilities:
- Develop email marketing strategies for clients with a focus on customer segmentation, life cycle, conversion campaigns and retention
- Oversee proper delivery of all email marketing campaigns, ensuring all emails comply with CAN-SPAM
- Manage tracking and reporting on all email programs
- Develop strategies around list growth
- Develop and execute marketing test plans that involve creative, from address, subject lines, formatting, personalization, offers, relevancy, etc.
- Proactively drive analytics to track, monitor, analyze, and optimize campaign performance
- Work very closely with creative team to ensure best practices are followed
- Design reports around specific email goals and initiatives, including creating segmentation strategies and models, defining opportunity for improved performance
Qualifications:
- Experience with ExactTarget is a must
- Experience with Unica is a bonus
- BA/BS in related field and strong knowledge of email best practices and direct-marketing concepts
- 2-3 years full time experience deploying email campaigns and prior experience developing email marketing campaigns at the strategic level
- Experience using tools such as Litmus and Pivotal Veracity
- Experience with Google Analytics (Omniture a plus) and Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to work both individually and in a team environment
- Strong ability to articulate and document analysis findings
- Problem solver with excellent analytic skills
- Eager to meet and exceed objectives and take on more responsibility
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects while meeting deadlines
