The Director of Brand Marketing is responsible for providing leadership of the development of integrated marketing efforts and brand initiatives, including media campaigns (consumer and trade), affiliate marketing programs, and cross promotions. This position will work with a highly motivated and driven Brand Marketing team on the strategic development and creative execution of consumer marketing activity for ms nbc programs as well as freestanding brand initiatives. This position will report to the Senior Director of Brand Marketing. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: -Working with marketing management team and outside agencies to develop broad-reaching, integrated strategic marketing campaigns to support brand initiatives - Working closely with EPs and show teams to develop and execute show marketing initiatives - Crafting marketing briefs for creative and media development - Creating marketing plans and presentations, which include key messaging to communicate strategic direction ti
ed to media tactics - Participating in creative and media briefing sessions as well as weekly status meetings - Working with all parties (off-air/on-air/media agencies/production) on execution of media campaign elements and ensure deadlines are met and within assigned budget - Supporting sales + affiliate marketing programs



REQUIREMENTS - Must be an entrepreneurial go-getter and strong team player who understands the fast pace ever changing nature of the news environment. - Experience in politics and / or issues-based marketing initiatives strongly preferred BASIC QUALIFICATIONS -Bachelors Degree -Minimum 6+ years of marketing experience at a news organization, creative or cause marketing agency
