The Opportunity
The Mobile Marketing Association seeks an ambitious and organized Director of Membership Sales to drive both North America and Global membership.
The Director of Membership Sales is responsible for identifying potential members and building and driving against an aggressive pipeline to drive new member acquisition. This position is central in our outreach across the entire mobile marketing ecosystem, securing brand, network, publisher and technology enabler participation, thereby contributing directly to the growth of the organization. In this capacity, the Director of Membership Sales will work with many of the leading companies in the burgeoning mobile marketing industry, offering a unique opportunity for someone to participate with the industry-at-large.
Key Responsibilities
The Director of Membership Sales will work closely with the CEO and be responsible for assuming a leadership role in membership acquisition and prospecting. This individual must be comfortable articulating clear membership benefits and understand how to hear a business challenge and solve it through MMA membership. This role will be core to creating urgency and momentum in the marketplace to achieve a dynamic where companies and individuals feel that they must be part of the broader "MMA Club".
The individual will work collaboratively with a team of highly motivated individuals - both internally and externally - with the goal of growing the MMA so it can achieve its goals to better serve the mobile marketplace.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The qualified candidate will have a Bachelor's degree, at least 5 - 8 years' sales or business development experience working in either a member-focused organization or media company. The job demands that this person be proactive, self-motivating, proficient with Salesforce and profoundly competent with a fire to drive sales momentum and close deals.
