Job Requirements About the Role:


HuffPost Religion is hiring a Fellow to join our team and work on our award-winning religion site and social media accounts. The Fellow will be integrated into the team with opportunities to learn and grow professionally in a fast-paced, intelligent, fun and slightly obsessed environment.


A good candidate will be a self-starter with writing experience, and will be passionate about the web with a serious interest in how religion news is shared and traditions are expressed online. A good candidate should have familiarity with a range of spiritual traditions and religions and a passion for how religious beliefs, holidays and practices can be presented online in a compelling way that ‘wins’ the Internet.




Requirements for success:


– Insatiable appetite for religion online and the desire to make a positive impact on the web


– Strong research and writing skills


– Proficiency and experience in leveraging social media for maximum benefit


– Meticulous dedication to detail and the ability to multitask


– Creativity and a willingness to think outside the box


Basic responsibilities will include:


– Writing headlines, packaging stories and video content


– Monitoring breaking news and identifying potentially viral religion stories


– Working in a fast-paced environment with the religion team


– Pitching and producing shareable content for a social media audience
