Independent Publishers Group (IPG) is seeking an experienced full-time Publicist to join its dynamic and successful Trafalgar Square Publishing publicity department, which represents a variety of publishers of high-quality trade titles from the U.K. and Australia.
The primary purpose of this position is to coordinate and execute major, drop-in and mid-size campaigns for an extensive list of Trafalgar titles with guidance from the Publicity Manager, as well as handle larger departmental tasks and significant amounts of client, media and author interaction. The position requires a strong understanding of various types of media, including broadcast, online, and print, as well as solid organizational skills, a keen ability to prioritize, and a drive for publicity results that impact sales.
The ideal candidate will be an excellent written and verbal communicator and a motivated self-starter with relevant experience, exceptional organizational skills, a strong eye for detail and the ability to multi-task efficiently. Previous publicity or publishing experience a must.
