TotalBeauty.com and its sister sites reach 12 million readers monthly. You've probably also seen our content on partner sites -- People, Yahoo! and The Today Show, to name a few.
TotalBeauty.com is The (with a capital T) health and beauty site that tells women the honest truth about what works (and what doesn't) in health, fitness, makeup, hair and skincare. You've heard the buzz about the database that's like Yelp.com for beauty product reviews? Yep, that's us too.
We're currently seeking a seasoned Senior Editor with the following background, skills, and experience:
- Journalism, with professional clips
- A funny, compelling and conversational writing style
- CMS, HTML, SEO knowledge
- Omniture, Google Analytics a plus
- Management experience a plus
- Copy editing a plus
- Note: Prior beauty/health experience is not required
The best candidate will have:
- A strong work ethic
- Laser attention to detail
- Organization skills bordering on hysterical
Every day we publish long-lead editorial features (think: how-to tutorials, cutting-edge beauty, health and fitness features) and newsy blog posts -- original, well-researched content that is produced in-house by editors. The senior editor pitches, writes, edits and oversees production, reporting to the Executive Editor. Our editorial team is first-rate -- opinionated, creative, bright, diverse. Our work atmosphere is fun and collaborative.
This is a full-time position in our Santa Monica office. Sorry, no telecommuting. No recruiters, please.
