Broadcasting & Cable, the 81-year-old leading television industry news magazine, is seeking a qualified Editorial Assistant to work in our New York bureau. This position is full-time freelance.
Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in a related field
Skills:
--Excellent writing, editing, copyediting and grammar skills, with a knowledge of AP Style
--Multitasker with attention to detail
--Possess the ability to work independently and be a self-starter
--Interest in the television business and entertainment
--Basic knowledge of Photoshop and Wordpress (as well as other web publishing tools). Experience with Brightcove and HTML a plus.
--Active on social media such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest
