| Job Requirements |
The Events Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Crain’s Cleveland Business events team in planning, producing and executing 20+ business events over the calendar year. Responsibilities to include as follows:
• Basecamp calendar management
• Assist with website maintenance and online initiatives, including, but not limited to, eBlast creation and programming
• Events database management
• Conduct outreach campaigns to solicit ticket sales
• Proofread all external promotional materials – event web pages, house ads, e-blasts, promotional videos, event programs, etc.
• Promote, cull and organize nominations for select programs.
• Assist with nominee/honoree logistics and disseminating/collecting information to different parties and organizations.
• Assist with the coordination and execution of video interviews for specific programs.
• Help to develop and design events materials such as registration pages, house ads, PowerPoint presentations, promo pieces, event programs, event surveys and event signage.
• Request quotes and coordinate with different event vendors (such as photographers and awards manufacturers) to ensure the best price and quality service.
• Facilitate sponsor fulfillment and event attendee/client satisfaction.
• Update event registration pages and online content as needed.
• Assist in monthly reporting on web activity, email campaigns, social media channels and other relevant metrics.
• Create sponsor fulfillment books for events.
Qualifications/requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Special Events, Marketing, Advertising or related area.
• 2-3 years of experience in events, sales & marketing or advertising.
• Strong customer service orientation and phone skills.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be professional, hard-working and have excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Must be willing to work non-traditional office hours and be available for early morning and late evening events.
• Some familiarity with html coding and making web updates.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Dreamweaver is necessary.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of graphic design and Adobe Creative Suite is a must. |
