Job Requirements Want to work in a dynamic organization and help shape the future of quality news content? We are looking for a talented Project Manager who wants to be part of a fun and dynamic team working on the next generation of subscription products for New York Times. Our ideal candidate has worked as a project manager in a subscription based business, where they have had strong exposure to back end systems but have also worked with consumer facing applications, and is looking for a challenging position where their skills can be utilized to help build the next generation of products at New York Times. Should have worked with both waterfall and agile methodologies and must believe that their skills and personality can fit into a close knit team. Must have strong personality, and be able to provide team leadership while also working within an Agile team based framework.

Responsibilities:

- Fills role of Scrum Master with team and follows Agile development methodology
- Works with team to ensure that development is on track and impediments are removed
- Works with Product Owner to manage product backlog and release roadmap
- Works closely with Product, Business, Editorial and other groups to understand new business needs and requests
Co-ordinates with the QA group to ensure that all product releases are tested to the highest standards
- Meets regularly with Program Manager to ensure that projects are on track

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree required
- Must have experience in working with various development and project management methodologies including Waterfall and Agile
- Must have experience in working with Digital organizations
- Must have worked with Subscription based E-Commerce systems
- Must have excellent communication skills and be able to work with various groups to resolve conflicts
- Must have experience in working in a fast paced environment, and be able to handle multiple projects at the same time
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem solving, negotiating, influencing, facilitation, organizational, prioritization, decision making, and conflict resolution skills
