Responsible for coordinating with editorial; selecting art; developing infographics and other art; designing the weekly, print magazine, and working with the production department to produce the magazine in acceptable form and on time.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Manage workflow of all materials (editorial, art and advertising) in the magazine
• Planning upcoming issues, editorial calendar and special issues
• Responsible for managing the art budget
• Run day-to-day of design
• Find or design art and infographics for CUTimes.com
• Manage the art budget
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• At least two years of experience in magazine design, preferably on a weekly deadline
• Strong design skills and appropriate creativity a must
• Strong organization, time-management, decision-making, attention to detail and interpersonal skills necessary
• Excellent communication and team-building skills
• Respect deadlines
• Knowledge Office, InDesign and Illustrator required
