Job Requirements Responsibilities:
• Copy edit and proofread all editorial content before online or print publication
• Work with author and editor-in-chief to finalize copy
• Post all copy online after editing process is complete
• Set applicable stories for e-mail delivery
• Edit/proofread all print issue proofs
• Create and set for delivery one daily, one weekly and one monthly electronic newsletter
• Occasional writing as needed

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Excellent written English skills, including good spelling and grammar
• A meticulous approach and an eye for detail
• Comfort with online content management systems, including newsletter and e-mail delivery platforms
• Comfort with occasional writing responsibility
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Previous news copy editing experience preferred
• Four-year college degree or equivalent work experience required
