Job Requirements Small, fast-paced book design and production company is looking for bright, motivated and METICULOUS individual to handle all aspects of the book manufacturing process.

Tasks Include:
• preflighting cover and jacket mechanicals.
• trafficking all materials to and from printers
• scheduling
• checking book blues
• coordinating the printing of bound galleys
• preparing purchase orders
• estimating
• proofreading

This in individual MUST BE HIGHLY ORGANIZED and thrive in a hectic environment.
Our ideal candidate would have at least two years prior experience in a publishing house and a working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat, Excel and Filemaker Pro. PROOFREADING AND COPYEDITING SKILLS A DEFINITE PLUS. This is a fabulous opportunity for the right individual who is committed to learning about bookmaking.
