Requirements:
• Bachelors degree and/or equivalent
• Minimum of three years of related experience
• Experience with content management systems—Drupal required, WordPress preferred
• Advanced knowledge and expertise with HTML, CSS, and Javascript
• Advanced knowledge and expertise with email campaigns
• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Dreamweaver
• Familiarity with PHP, SQLm and Apache
• Familiarity with responsive web design
• Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks

| About Our Company |
Reporting to the director of Columbia Creative and serving as a lead developer in the Columbia Web Development Working Group, the web developer works closely with designers and project managers to build and maintain websites and other digital products, including databases, email campaigns, and enterprise-level digital solutions. The web developer is also a liaison to Columbia University Information Technology developers.
Key responsibilities:
• Build and manage Drupal websites and other web products
• Provide guidance on information architecture, taxonomy, coding, designing and hosting
• Serves as a technical liaison in web development between Columbia Creative and other departments, especially Columbia University Information Technology
• Design and execute email marketing campaigns
• Manage departmental database
• Serve as a lead developer on the Columbia Web Development Working Group, providing guidance on web guidelines, digital asset management, and other University-wide digital initiatives
