This position is ideal for a candidate looking for real, hands-on public relations experience. This intern will support account staff on daily PR activities. This is a rare opportunity to get invaluable work experience in a fast-paced but fun environment.

Responsibilities include:
Manage company databases
Conduct research
Compile press clippings
Assist with pitch letters
Assist with press releases
Participate in creative brainstorming sessions to promote clients in press
Attend team meetings

Time Frame for Internship:
Cognito is looking for an ambitious graduate or undergraduate with a major in Communications, PR or Journalism. The internship is 40 hours a week Monday through Friday for a minimum of 3 months. Depending on the hours available and the circumstances there may be a small financial compensation.

Requirements
Must be professional and punctual
Resourceful well organized and takes initiative
Excellent written and communication skills
Must have an interest in financial services and/or capital markets
Must be a Communications, Public Relations or Journalism major
Flexible individual with enthusiasm, energy, and an entrepreneurial spirit are encouraged
