Job Requirements About The Role:
The AESC is seeking a design visionary-doer with a marketing and branding mindset. The ideal candidate will be passionate about web design and UX and have the organization and time management discipline of a project manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, bringing to life the online brands for BlueSteps.com, a career management service for executives, and for the AESC, a global trade association with representation in 70+ countries. Your job will be to consistently take BlueSteps and AESC websites to the next level in interface design and user experience.

As a UX designer working on marketing deliverables, you will have the hybrid role of creating and implementing contemporary, user friendly designs for AESC and BlueSteps marketing initiatives, as well as the ability to communicate concepts to the Technology team and external developers. You will be responsible for leading the entire process from supporting initial product marketing efforts, design execution, front end coding and launch. Your designs should promote marketing objectives, while bringing to life the product brand. You will grow existing brands and build interactive websites and landing pages, as well as versatile templates that reduce development resources.

Responsibilities:
• Work directly with the Marketing Director as creative lead to bring three brands to life through design and UX
• Ensure design and user experience drives marketing objectives
• As part of the marketing team, the role will have a heavy emphasis on driving marketing, branding, and user experience, but will also require a strong set of technical skills. The successful candidate will be able to implement designs in HTML, CSS, Javascript, jQuery and other technologies, as well as communicate concepts to internal and external developers when appropriate.
• Use data, Analytics, and user testing to inform design and UX decisions
• Lead innovative solutions and provide proactive design thinking across the company to drive new design and product development efforts that keep our brands fresh and current
• Work directly across departments and with senior management on key projects that impact customer and user experiences
• Develop design prototypes, wireframes, usage scenarios, and marketing communications templates
• Define and create specifications for design & UX, for multiple websites, with interaction styles and modes that result in improved user experience and engagement
• Contribute expertise in product and marketing design
• Contribute expertise in user research driven methodologies
• Stay up to date on current trends in design and UX for web and mobile
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Evangelize best in class design thinking

Qualifications:
• Proven design professional with at least 2+ years of experience
• BA/BS/BFA in Web Design, Graphic Design, Advertising Design or related field required
• Must be a current practicing designer with exceptional design skills
• Experience creating process flows, wireframes, and mockups to effectively conceptualize and present detailed interaction behaviors
• Experience building web sites using a minimum of HTML, CSS, Javascript and jQuery
• Experience building web sites within one or more CMS frameworks
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including deep experience with Photoshop/Illustrator
• Comfort working with SQL or similar query language
• Experience with Google Analytics
• Well versed in marketing and branding, with proven experience in marketing driven design
• Experience in user driven design methodologies
• Strong understanding of identity, typography, color, and layout for digital media
• Strong grasp of luxury/professional services brands and marketing approaches
• Deep understanding of design best practices
• Must be an excellent communicator, both in design and writing, and able to deliver presentations to senior management
• Proven ability to communicate conceptual ideas and design rationale to stakeholders as well as to developers
• Self-motivated to prioritize and manage workload and meet critical project milestones and deadlines
• Ability to work collaboratively and both apply and receive creative/constructive feedback in a team environment
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build good working relationships
• Comfortable working in a corporate/business environment
• Ability to handle multiple projects at the same time
• Knowledge of mobile technologies a plus
• Ability to work with internal staff to troubleshoot hardware and software issues a plus
