Job Requirements As a Consumer Strategist, Media, Entertainment and Technology, you must have a passion for media, entertainment and technology and for their place in the greater global landscape. You must have a proven track record researching, writing about and analyzing these areas, with a deep and nuanced understanding of the values driving consumer behavior. You must be an adept cultural observer who is capable of identifying important trends and translating them into viable marketing opportunities.

Key Responsibilities Include:
- Translate consumer trends into actionable insight and marketing applications for Fortune 1000 clients and ad agencies as they relate to media, entertainment, technology and cohorts within each.
- Incorporate Iconoculture’s values-based methodology and apply it in a variety of contexts. This includes the use qualitative and quantitative data sources.
- Identify consumer trends in media, entertainment and technology categories and support the trends with consumer observations and statistical data. Uncover meaningful consumer insights and actionable applications for business.
- Use cultural expertise to explain the ‘why’ behind observed consumer mindsets and behaviors.
- Research media, entertainment and technology consumer needs and wants in different verticals.
- Identify marketing best practices.
- Assist in the development and writing of high-value synthesized reports and presentations. This includes using proprietary tools to download information and insights, as well as editing and formatting.
- Participate in client calls, meetings and presentations.
- Collaborate with sales efforts in a variety of ways.
- Participate in industry conferences and Iconoculture’s client and sales events.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree, advanced degree preferred
- 5-8 years of experience covering media, entertainment and technology, working at an agency or within a consumer-based marketing environment, with a strong focus on consumer electronics and technology.
- Passion for and discernment of consumer culture, with the ability to translate cultural observations into marketing opportunities
- Excellent written and oral communication skills applied to analysis/applications for publication on our proprietary website and in special projects
- Engaging and inspiring presentation skills
- Proven ability to work productively in a virtual work environment and create necessary personal systems to maximize productivity
- Self-starting, highly responsible regarding deadlines and commitments
- Required to be highly marketing/business literate and have ability to WOW clients with marketing strategy and functional titles
- Deep and extensive set of international contacts and relationships, both informal and professional
- Significant onsite client activity and travel required
