Job Requirements Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years related experience in a senior leadership role in communications, journalism, public relations or a related field.
Experience working on complex communications campaigns; and, leading and coaching a team of professionals.
Must have exceptional written, oral, and presentation skills; creative self-starter; ability to manage under tight deadlines; and, effectively interact with a wide-range of professionals.

Our mission is to protect the public health, safety, and welfare by leading the regulation of the practice of architecture through the development and application of standards for licensure and credentialing of architects.We work with leaders in the field to help shape the future of the architectural profession. We develop and recommend standards for registration and the practice of architecture.
Seeking a dynamic individual to lead a communications directorate to support the implementation of the vision and direction of the Council.
Responsibilities: The Director, Communications serves as a strategic communications partner for the Council and is responsible for all phases of communication including strategic positioning, outreach preparation, media relations, engagement with stakeholders and allied organizations, materials design, marketing, branding, and public relations. Using all possible mediums: print, electronic, social media, video productions, etc., the director will ensure that the Council’s brand is consistently, accurately, and effectively represented to a wide range of stakeholders. As a member of the senior leadership team, the director must: build consensus among peers; establish strategic relationships with allied organizations; effectively interact with the CEO, the Board of Directors and the Council’s membership organizations; and, lead and mentor a high-performing team. The director must be a creative thinker and a self-starter, display an entrepreneurial spirit, act in a professional manner at all times and thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
