Job Requirements This position reports to the Art Director and is responsible for researching new photographers and stylists; creative concepting for stories, assigning shoots; and attending and directing about 5-8 shoots a month. The photo editor is solely responsible for managing all materials and information associated with a shoot including contracts, paperwork, and model releases. The photo editor must be a skilled photo researcher, able to cast models, and will assist the Art Director with special projects as necessary. The photo editor creates visual content and experience with video is helpful.

Essential Job Functions

35% - Shoot production
25% - On-Set direction
25% - Photo Research
15% - Budgeting/Negotiating contracts

Minimum Qualifications:
All must be met to be considered.

Education:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.

Experience:
Minimum 4 years in the photo departments of editorial publications preferred.
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of digital photo processes, Adobe CS, Filemaker Pro, video processes and direction, are all helpful
