The majority of ASLA members, nearly 80 percent, work in private practice; 12 percent in the public sector; and 5 percent are fulltime educators. The remaining members are employed by private developers or work in other specialized fields.
ASLA is conveniently located in downtown Washington, DC, one block north of the Gallery Place/Chinatown Metro Station on the Red, Yellow, and Green Lines, and has a staff of 43 and offers an comprehensive employee benefits package.
