Job Requirements Fusion is seeking a forward-thinking, strategic media researcher to oversee all research functions for the brand. The Director of Research will be responsible for providing consumer insights to the Fusion management team, serving the senior executive team, programming, production, digital, marketing, ad sales and affiliate sales and marketing. Will be responsible for evaluating performance of Fusion content, and for analyzing the target audience’s media consumption patterns and the competitive landscape.

Responsibilities:

-Provide consumer insights to inform all Fusion strategies
-Analyze linear/digital media landscape
-Oversee Nielsen relationship, provide Nielsen analysis to Fusion team
-Develop audience estimates for ad sales
-Provide performance analysis for all Fusion digital platforms
-Manage all third-party research relationships
-Liaise with research colleagues across all parent company networks
-Hire and develop and manage an analyst

Qualifications:

Fusion’s director of research should have extensive media research experience across multiple platforms. Must be highly collaborative and possess a high degree of adaptability and flexibility. He/she must possess strong communication skills. Must be prepared to work in a demanding start-up environment.

Required Education/Experience

-5 years of research experience, including Nielsen analysis, primary research, digital research, ad sales research
-3 years of cable research experience
-Must be highly organized, with the ability to operate in a startup environment
-Demonstrated ability to organize information into concise, highly persuasive presentations
-Bachelor’s degree required, masters’ degree preferred

-Deep understanding of bilingual/bicultural Hispanic consumers
-Millennial media experience
