Job Requirements Job Requirements:

The successful candidate will act as a liaison between the news producer/editorial team and the technical crew. He or she must take the vision of producers and writers from the idea stage to a completed program on air. He or she is responsible for Control Room direction of all aspects of live and recorded programs, coordinating technical with all editorial elements: video playback, blocking and setting studio cameras, graphics, satellite interviews, studio guests, etc. Setting the pace and feel of each broadcast, the director will work closely with the vision switcher in setting and calling for transitions from item to item during broadcast and will give direction to cameras, audio, and lighting. He or she not only supervises the media mangers, video editors, studio and team, but also in charge of the in the overall technical outputs of each program. One position is available.

Qualifications, Experience and Education:
• University bachelor degree or above, preferably in journalism, media, communications, international relations, politics, economics
• 5 years’ experience working in the media industry
• Keen interest in international news and events in China
• Ability to demonstrate creative flair and take a leadership role in the gallery
• A strong understanding of news and international current affairs
• Knowledge of computer graphics and other broadcast techniques
• Calm under pressure
• Good communication and research skills
• Strong knowledge of television production techniques
• Excellent writing skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to handle tight deadlines
• Willing to work flexible and irregular hours
• Good team player
• Other duties as directed.
