Job Requirements Job Requirements:
The successful candidate will work in the control room and must have experience in preparing effects/transitions and operating a production switcher. He or she will provide a complete program of multi-layered video sources with graphic effects live to air. Responsibilities include building and preparing switcher effects and transitions, routing video paths/feeds, switching live, fast paced news programs per Director’s instructions, and working closely with operations management and engineering to ensure all equipment is working properly. He or she must have in depth knowledge of vision mixing software and equipment and a genuine commitment to new ways of working, including operating across different platforms, and to learning new skills. Three positions are available.

Qualifications, Skills and Desirable Qualities:
• Proven commitment to making innovative television news.
• University bachelor degree or above, preferably in journalism, media, communications, international relations, politics, economics
• 5 years’ experience working in the media industry
• Ability to apply knowledge to a vision mixing product and obtain the highest quality output.
• Ability to maintain a consistent program style.
• A strong understanding of news and international current affairs
• Good communication and research skills
• Strong knowledge of television production techniques
• Excellent writing skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to handle tight deadlines
• Willing to work flexible and irregular hours
• Pro-active approach committed to continuous improvement and self-motivated.
• Good team player
• Other duties as directed.
