Job Requirements The Team: The Marketing Services team within the Corporate team delivers integrated communications across all media to reinforce the Morningstar brand. Consisting of marketers, designers, writers, event planners, marketing researchers, and operational managers, this collaborative team acts as an agency that serves the marketing needs across client segments for our Client Solutions group. The team works globally to maintain a consistent brand experience everywhere Morningstar serves investors.
The Role: We are looking for an experienced, energetic marketing manager to assist with a variety of marketing initiatives. In this role you will work with the creative, events, and operations Marketing Services teams to create and deliver successful marketing strategies and programs for the Asset Management and Buy Side segments of the Client Solutions team, based on the segments’ marketing plans. You will also be responsible for ensuring that the Morningstar brand is clearly and consistently communicated. This position reports to the Marketing Director, Asset Management and Buy Side, and is based in our Chicago office.
Responsibilities
+ Successfully manage all aspects of approved marketing programs, from strategy and planning to creative development and delivery.
+ Act as the primary liaison between Client Solutions marketing and functional areas of Marketing Services, including design, content, events, social media, research, and marketing operations.
+ Provide analysis of marketing campaigns to determine ROI and inform future planning.
+ Collaborate with the account management teams for the other Client Solutions segments to share best practices.

Requirements
+ Bachelor’s degree, ideally in marketing, advertising, communications, or related field. MBA or master’s degree in marketing or communications strongly preferred.
+ 6—8 years of work experience and 5+ years of related industry experience, preferably brand or marketing experience at an advertising agency or client company.
+ Proven ability to design, develop, and implement marketing strategies and supporting tactics.
+ Experience in/knowledge of the financial services industry, especially asset management and buy side companies.
+ Proven experience in managing teams working cross-functionally within an organization.
+ Demonstrated track record of client relationship development and service.
+ Strong project management skills.
+ Demonstrated budget management and resource planning experience.
+ Superior interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
+ Experience in media planning a plus.
